Nobody's going to do it for you.
As much as we all wish we could transfer our consciousness between other people and make them do all the hard work... like in that movie with the power-hungry scientist who switches out his body to get someone to exercise on the treadmill for him so his body gets the workout but he doesn't feel the pain... that'd be so cool...
Anyway... There is no magic pill, so special shake, no secret diet.
The reality is, if you want to lose weight, you have to get off your ass and move.
You don't need a fancy gym membership or special equipment - although it probably helps!
I managed to lose 16 kilos in 2013 just by walking.
I didn't go to the gym, my diet wasn't overly great, but I still ate mostly healthy.
I just walked.
And walked.
And walked and walked and walked, some more.
At the height of the (Ararat) Biggest Loser Challenge Australia Pebble Challenge there were days where I walked for 14 hours straight and did 50-60,000 steps a day. I had something to prove.
I had been so stuck in a complete rut. I had many family issues and I hadn't been putting myself first. I truly believed I didn't have it in me. I was determined that I was going to lose weight and prove to myself that it can be done.
So now, after losing some of the weight I needed to and putting in the hard yards, it's time to keep it off, as well as work on losing the rest of the spare tyre!
I'm going to use this website as a way to keep accountable to myself and to YOU and make myself believe I can do it! I'm going to share stories, videos, pictures, links (through the 'nexus' pages) and all manner of other inspirational stuff to help get YOU moving too!
I'd love for you to join me in my trek to finding a better you, to lose the excess baggage and put yourself first.
Let the person you want to be step out and shine!
